Our work is funded by grants and the amazing hard work of a group of volunteers who run our op shop. Op shops, or opportunity shops, are retail stores that sell donated items to raise funds for charitable causes. Op shops often receive a wide range of kitchen wear, home wear, bricker-brack, books, clothing, shoes, and accessories, which are sold for a profit. To date our op shop has funded, not only the out-of-pocket cost involved with rehoming our 1500 cats and 900 dogs but in addition, over 700 dog and cat sterilisation vouchers since 2019.
